• How many years have they been in business?
• Are they up to date on required permits, such as their business municipal license?
• Do they have liability insurance needed in the event an accident happens on a jobsite?
• Do they have a showroom where you can see and touch the products?

• Will they provide you with names of people where they have done installations?
• Did they do any projects in your neighborhood?
• Do they have photos of other projects they’ve completed?

If they give you names of customers, absolutely ask them about their level of satisfaction.

Focus on Their Approach

• Did they ask questions about actual requirements?
• Did they ask what the budget you have?
• Did they seem to take steps to fully understand the architectural style of your house?
• What brands and products do they present?
• Did they help you in balancing the function of the door, its strength, insulation and durability, with the esthetic appeal of the door?
• Did they show you a design center so you could get an accurate picture of what your new garage door would look like? Did this feature allow you to upload a photo and take a look at your new garage door as it will appear?
• Did they show you at least three solutions that meet your needs and style?
• Did all of their quotations address every issue?
