Hi we have a new construction home - with a two car garage and a single car garage. We want to convert the single car garage into a gym and don't want a big garage door opener hanging down from the ceiling. What is the minimum height ceiling a garage ceiling can be? My door is 8 feet so the ceiling is taller than that but I am not sure by how much . If it is a 9 feet ceiling is that enough?
